- Project: Front-End Styleguide
- Organization: Priceline.com
- My Role: Project lead, UI, HTML & SCSS
Priceline had been operating without a front-end style guide up until this point. So, as an extension of the confirmation page project, we took it upon ourselves to create one, documenting commonly used front-end patterns and assets. This gave us a good starting point for discussions with other front-end teams to address misalignments in visual patterns across the site.

- Project: Purchase Confirmation Redesign
- Organization: Priceline.com
- My Role: UI & UX Design, HTML & SCSS
The previous version of our confirmation page was not meeting our team's, nor our customers' expectations. A quick look into our customer chat logs surfaced customer questions like… "Did it go through?" "Was I charged for this?" "Is there a way to email this to myself?"

- Project: Hotel Prototype
- Organization: Priceline.com
- My Role: UI & UX Design, HTML, SCSS & jQuery
The Hotel Prototype began as an experiment to make Priceline's search result filters react faster to adjustments made by the customer. Quickly we realized that the platform built to accommodate this enhancement, along with the upgraded user experience, embodied the spirit of what the next iteration of our products could be.
Lessons learned from this project:- • Start with why and overcommunicate to ensure everyone is on the same page.
- • Ensure testing is incremental and aimed at measurable outcomes.
- • Spend time to explore and evaluate the options and data (with the team and others) that can help to influence decision making before moving forward. This ultimately helps to both create more bulletproof design solutions and ensure to everyone feels invested in moving the product forward.
- • Be consistent and standard, and innovate when it’s worth it.

- Project: Mobile Web V1
- Organization: Priceline.com
- My Role: UI & UX Design, HTML & CSS
This was the first responsive version of Priceline's mobile web experience. At the time we were working on this, there were very few mobile optimized websites, especially e-commerce, and the conversations around how to create a valuable interactive experience in the mobile browser were just beginning. The direction supplied for this project was to expiriment designing and building a mobile friendly version of the priceline website that carried the brand through.
I loved working on this project because I learned a ton. There was so much uncertainty around how to accomplish what we set out to do that it left us to explore. Figuring our where and how to apply different design patterns and development techniques was a blast. The pricelne mobile web experience has evolved at an incredible pace since this early version. As best practices have emerged, our mobile web experience has as well. The current iteration is far more performant, responsive and modern than V1.

- Project: Website & Icons
- Client: Children's Learning Adventure
- Agency: Vilocity Interactive
- My Role: Art Direction, UI & Icon Design
Children's Learning Adventure is a jungle themed child care center with an emphasis on education. They approached us at Vilocity Interactive to create a visual presence for several aspects of their business. Design-wise, all they had to work from was a logo that they wanted to continue to use.
By incorporating design elements such as layers of foliage, treasure maps and muddy footprints, we created a brand aesthetic that felt like a place where kids can get dirt under their fingernails. We extended the branding by creating icons for various areas of activity within the center. The flexibility that this project afforded made it fun and exciting to be a part of and everyone loved the outcome.

- Project: Look Book & Logo
- Client: JulieBeth
- Agency: Vilocity Interactive
- My Role: Art Direction, Logo & Graphic Design
JulieBeth was a start-up looking to increase their marketing presence. They had a product line and needed our help to show it off in the form of a Look Book. A logo was also needed to represent who they are.
We wanted a simple mark for JulieBeth's logo. One that spoke to their friendship and comittment to craft a quality product. I joined the two partners initials together with a classic serif typeface to create an icon that would look great on their bags. To complete the logo, the company name was set in a sans-serif typeface straddling the icon. For the style of the Look Book, a clean layout with abundant white space was appropriate to draw attention to the texture of the bags. Cropping the bags on the edges of the pages added visual interest.

- Project: Billboards
- Client: eTelecare (now Convergys)
- Agency: Vilocity Interactive
- My Role: Graphic Design
These were both really fun billboards to work on. After the Creative Director at Vilocity and I worked out the concepts, I was responsible for translating the direction into a quick impactful presentation. In both cases the client loved the direction and the execution.
